If you only have one day to spend, this comprehensive private wine tour in the Douro Valley from Porto allows you to enjoy its highlights and most dramatic vistas.
Sit back and enjoy the scenic journey through the wine region in the company of our knowledgeable guide. You’ll cross the Douro River to drive alongside the water, looking out for the names of famous port wine estates nestled in the terraced hillsides.
Then head away from the river up into the hills themselves for stunning panoramic views of both the Douro and the Torto Rivers.
As well as attractive architecture and views, the charming village of Régua is home to a fascinating Douro Museum where you can learn about the wine region’s history and how to interpret the label on a bottle of port wine.
After a satisfying lunch, your guide will take you to the village of Pinhão. Relax and take in the views from a wooden rabelo boat as it glides gently upstream from the village of Pinhão and back again.
By this point, you should be ready for a winery tour followed by port wine tastings with great views of the Douro River before your return journey to Porto.
