Camino de Santiago: Ideal Routes for Different Durations

Camino de Santiago: Ideal Routes for Different Durations

The Camino de Santiago is not just a tourist route, but an entire visual and sensory experience that you will never forget.

Even if you have limited time for this unique journey, we offer programmes that ensure you’ll have incredible stories to tell by the end of your Camino de Santiago adventure.

We understand that availability varies from pilgrim to pilgrim, which is why our programmes are tailored to the time you can dedicate to this experience. Here are two suggestions:

Easy Coastal Camino – 21 Days

Easy Coastal Camino - 21 Days

Directional signs along the Atlantic coast, showing the distance to Santiago de Compostela and Paris.

During the Camino, you will discover breath-taking landscapes and be prepared to taste many delicacies that leave no one indifferent.

Our Easy Coastal Camino programme divides the long walking days into shorter distances, totalling 260 km/161.56 miles over 21 days, starting from the city of Porto to the final destination—Santiago de Compostela

With stages ranging from 7 km to a maximum of 18 km, this programme allows more free time to explore the charms of northern Portugal and Galicia.

This is a viable and rewarding itinerary, perfect for those who want to walk at a leisurely pace and enjoy all the scenery.

Over these three weeks, you will pass by beaches (from Vila do Conde to Esposende, from Vila Praia de Âncora to Baiona), stunning forest areas, and cultivated fields. You’ll also visit charming towns and villages like Castelo de Neiva or Arcade and coastal cities like Viana do Castelo, A Guarda, Vigo, and Pontevedra.

All this at a relaxed pace, giving you time and energy to appreciate the surroundings and avoid excessive exertion.

Portuguese Camino – 8 Days

Portuguese Camino – 8 Days

A pilgrim following the traditional Camino de Santiago markers, with the shell and yellow arrow guiding their path, towards the discovery of new horizons and experiences along the journey.

Northern Portugal has unique characteristics linked to a natural landscape of enormous beauty and outstanding biodiversity.

Marked by the intense green of the fields and vineyards, the beautiful scenery is complemented by the contagious joy of its people, evident in festivals and pilgrimages, and an unparalleled hospitality.

Valença do Minho, where this 8-day, 121 km/75.19 mile route begins, is the northernmost point of Portugal. From here, you can see neighbouring Spain right next door, feeling like you can almost touch it.

Known for its imposing fortress, initially built in the 13th century and expanded in the following centuries, it surrounds the entire old town and consists of walls, bastions, and moats. It offers spectacular views over the Minho River and the Spanish city of Tui. It is the ideal starting point, offering history, culture, and natural beauty.

The journey begins in Portuguese lands, immediately crossing over to the Galician side, crossing the Minho River to Tui, heading through Porriño towards the famous oysters of Arcade, on the way to the important city of Pontevedra, from where we continue to Padrón, the town where the boat carrying the Apostle’s body arrived in the Galicia region, and which finally awaits us in Santiago de Compostela.
